Canada's closest gateway to Japan is a real advantage.

Japan drew roughly 250,000 Canadian visitors in the first four months of 2026, up 9.7% year on year. Vancouver is North America's shortest flight to Japan, which shapes the market: Western Canada books more frequently and more spontaneously than agencies further east, and repeat-visitor rates are higher than in most long-haul markets.

Winter is a season of its own here — Canadian skiers and snowboarders are one of the most reliable groups asking specifically for Hokkaido's powder (Niseko) and Nagano, often as the primary reason for the trip rather than an add-on. Spring cherry blossom and autumn foliage remain the two other major peaks, alongside the classic Tokyo–Kyoto–Osaka bucket-list route.

Coordination is in English, by WhatsApp and email, with proposals ready to share under your own agency's branding.
