Built for Four Kinds
of Trade File

Retail & FIT Advisors

A seasonal package is a fast way to put a concrete, credible Japan itinerary in front of a client without building one from scratch — a starting point you can quote quickly, then adjust to the client's actual interests and budget.

Tour Operators & Wholesalers

Operators building a themed programme — cherry blossom, autumn foliage, a ryokan-focused product — need a consistent net-rate base to build their own retail pricing and marketing around, season after season.

Luxury & Honeymoon Specialists

Packages like the Luxury Ryokan Escape or Sacred Japan Trail give a ready reference point for high-touch clients, then get tailored down to room category, pacing and specific access requests.

Repeat-Visitor Specialists

Clients on a second or third trip often respond better to a themed package (Sacred Japan Trail, Hokkaido Winter Dream) than a generic Golden Route itinerary, since it signals depth beyond the standard first-timer circuit.

How a Package Quote
Is Actually Built

Every package shown here is a template, not a fixed product — the duration, accommodation tier, guiding and specific experiences are all adjustable, and the quote is built around what the client's brief actually needs rather than a locked itinerary. That's why pricing is shown as "price on request" rather than a blended headline figure: the same package can vary substantially depending on season, accommodation tier and group size.

Rates are quoted net and non-commissionable, the same principle behind every service we quote — you see exactly what the itinerary costs and set your own margin on top. A USD 100 contract fee secures the booking once a package is confirmed, credited against the final invoice, and cancellation runs on a sliding scale: 20% of total cost at 45 days or more before travel, 50% at 22–44 days, 100% at 21 days or fewer.

Glossary

Package Template

A starting-point itinerary showing a realistic combination of destinations, pacing and experiences — not a fixed, unmodifiable product.

Price on Request

Quoted per brief rather than as a fixed headline figure, since season, accommodation tier and group size all materially change the cost.

Net Rate

The rate we quote you with no commission folded in. What you charge on top is up to you — your client never sees our number.

Theme-Led Itinerary

A package built around a single strong theme (sakura, foliage, ryokan, sacred sites) rather than a generic city-hopping circuit.

When Each Package
Actually Peaks

Cherry Blossom (Late March–April)

The single tightest booking window of the year — bloom dates shift year to year and can't be predicted more than a couple of weeks out, so hotels and guides in Kyoto and Tokyo close out earliest here of any season. Earliest possible lead time matters more for this package than any other on the page.

Autumn Foliage (November)

A close second to cherry blossom for booking pressure, particularly in Kyoto and Nikko, with the added complexity that peak colour timing varies by region and elevation — worth building flexibility into the routing rather than locking a single week too far in advance.

Hokkaido Winter (December–February)

Ski-season accommodation in Niseko and around Sapporo tightens fastest of anywhere on this page, with the Sapporo Snow Festival week in early February the single hardest week of the year to book late — see our Ski & Snow Holidays page for resort-level detail.

Year-Round Packages

Tokyo Ultramodern, Sacred Japan Trail and Luxury Ryokan Escape don't depend on a seasonal peak, which makes them the more flexible packages to book on shorter notice or shift by a few weeks if a client's dates aren't fixed.

One Desk for Every
Package

Every package enquiry routes through the same desk that handles the rest of your trade file — so a curated-holiday quote for a client is checked against any hotel, transfer or MICE booking already on file for the same client, rather than treated as an isolated request. Amendments after confirmation — a duration change, a swap from one package theme to another, an added ryokan night — go through the same contact who quoted the original booking.

Because every package here is explicitly a starting point rather than a fixed product, most bookings involve at least one round of adjustment before confirmation — that's expected, not an exception, and doesn't reset the 24-hour quote-turnaround clock on the revised version.

Common Questions
from the Trade

Are curated holiday rates net or commissionable?

Net and non-commissionable. Every package is a starting point we quote against, and you set your own margin on top.

Can these packages be modified rather than booked as shown?

Yes — every package is a starting point. Duration, pacing, accommodation tier and inclusions can all be adjusted to the client's brief.

How far ahead should a seasonal package be booked?

As early as possible for cherry blossom, autumn foliage and Hokkaido winter departures — these are the windows where hotel and guide availability tightens fastest.

Do packages include flights?

No — packages cover accommodation, ground transport, guiding and the listed experiences within Japan. International flights are quoted separately or left to the agent.

What is your cancellation policy for curated holiday bookings?

45 days or more before travel: 20% of total cost. 22 to 44 days: 50%. 21 days or fewer: 100%. Full terms are on our Partner Policy page.
