Kyushu is Japan's third-largest island, home to Fukuoka — the region's largest city and a growing international gateway — Nagasaki's layered history, and active volcanoes including Mount Aso and Sakurajima. Beppu and Yufuin are among Japan's most concentrated onsen towns.
